I think I've got the answer, but maybe I'm missing something.

The Bluetooth module that is in the '13 LS can only do audio calls correct? OnStar is no longer in use on his vehicle (accidentally hit the button flipping the mirror the other day).

I assume without some sort of transplant that the Bluetooth can't stream any audio (driving directions or music) over it.

What I do find interesting is, if I hit the microphone on my iPhone (speak to text) the blue tooth actually makes a "call" to my own number. Not literally, but I can talk to text.

So there is some level of functionality at play.

That or I add an FM transmitter.

No biggie. Aux jack works with streaming radio and directions when I really need it.
