It's a trade-off really, driving around easy the H-pipe shines for beautiful noise, however it's hard to beat the scream of the X-pipe at full song.

And I agree with you. I prefer the sound of the H-pipe over the X for the reasons you've stated. But unfortunately most of the good after market catbacks utilize the X pipe instead. Just one of those trade off's I guess
