C.H.E. CHE Trunnion Upgrade

Trunnion -- yes, that is how they spell it.

Instructions:

Typical Replacement except, the C.H.E do not need to be pressed in!

So, I started by pressing out the stock trunnions in my new rockers using a 9/16 and 7/8 socket. Note how the stock trunnion and bearings are inserted and then how I use the 'flat' side of the rocker to rest against the 7/8 socket -- makes it easier to push out the stock trunnion set:

notice how the sockets are setup with the rocker as I press out both bearings and trunnion:

out:

I took out the 9/16 socket, then I took the rocker and the 7/8 socket over to a ziplock bag, then emptied the contents -- that way, I didn't loose the needles -- filled the bag up!

do that 15 more times -- this is all of the stock trunnions out:

and what they look like:

Everything scotch brighted and cleaned per instructions and ready to go:

Now, the C.H.E. trunnion kit is easy to install, you just slip on one bushing (lubed), slide in the trunnion (lubed), slide the other bushing on (lubed) then use the snap-ring to close off one end, then turn it over, and snap ring the other. Test rotation and line up the 'flat' spot in the trunnion to the top! Its that simple!:

One set done (exhaust part # 10214664)!:

Now the intake (offset, part # 12569167) are done doing it the same way:

Bagged 'n tagged ready for GPI:

Now. C.H.E. does give you '1' extra snap ring, but still, 'be careful' ;o)

This is an awesome kit, very easy to install -- and best of all, it's C.H.E. and they saved me $250 -- doing it myself!
