Are you keeping in mind that the Camaro is Hub-Centric not Lug-Centric?
The raised collar on the hub is 66.9 mm and designed to engage directly in to the wheel center bore. The studs do not carry the full vertical vehicle load. I do have a spacer/adapter for my spare that also has a raised collar and retains Hub-Centric interface with the wheel, is that what OP ordered? If that interface is missing it loses some of the strength and also can cause vibration. Thinking this applies to both Z28 and SS.
