don't believe everything you read on the interwebs, 14mpg in a 400hp car is about it if your doing a fair amount of city driving. if your cruising highway you can do OK with the cylinder deactivation if your driving conservatively and shutting down half the motor. but if you drive even somewhat aggressive your not going to get much.
hell, I have a V6, rarely "get on it", drive about 60% highway, and seldom see over 21mpg. these cars simply don't get great mpg. it's not how they're engineered.
