I understand your purposes jb since one year. You posted your answers also since one year, but you to, you never give an answer, which helped me know i order the redesigned supercharger or not

Replacing the isolator is easy. If you dont have mechanical expertise yourself then you can take it to a workshop and show them the threads/videos from youtube on how to tackle the job. It should take anywhere from 2-3 hours to do it.
Or you can call your friends and try it out yourself over the weekend
