ZL1 Addons Wicker Bill!

Wicker Bill is on!

If you 'measure twice, cut once' its a very easy job -- I took my time, had it done in under an hour.

Unboxing:

Here is the riv-nut tool and how its setup:

The 'bit' that goes into the riv-nut gun is left hand threaded so keep that in mind:

Riv-Nut on the 'gun':

Here, I measured twice then, drilled a 1/8" pilot hole on just the 2 center marks:

Opened them up (25/64 bit or 9MM) then just size them enough to fit the riv-nut:

First two are on!

Now install the wicker bill (just on the 2 riv-nuts) and then mark and then drill the 'Pilot' holes first. Remove the wicker bill, then drill out the rest of the holes to size. Once that is done, work from inside to outside installing the riv-nuts -- this tool makes it very easy to install them!

Check to make sure none of the riv-nuts move -- if they do, tighten them down just a little bit more using the riv-nut gun -- you'll feel it.

After all of the riv-nuts are installed, remove the protective cover off the lower wicker bill, and install that side facing the rear of the car. You'll install the left 2 outer and right 2 outer bolts/hold-downs - just loosely snug. Then install the 'clear' bill over-lapping the lower wicker bill -- then install the bolts and after that, tighten from inside to out equally (1 right 1 left -- back and forth) to ensure the wicker bill will 'equal out to the ends'. Tight up and you're good to go! Mine took a torx 30 bit to install them.

Follow the directions (it says how 'high' up it should be - about 1/4" above the deck lid).

Here it is in all its glory:

Excellent product!

Here is a video of one of the Camaro5 family (Antares) getting his installed by John -- a side note: my friend 'Eric' (the white dude ;o) was enjoying some 'trash talking' at the same time:

Loving it!
