I've raced a few GTOs with my Mustang GT as well, and I really have to agree with the stock street tire comment.
The LS2 GTO is putting down 400 ft-lbs of torque; however, depending on the tire option, GTOs either run 235 or 245 wide tire. 235s tires aren't enough for our 320 ft-lbs Mustang GTs. Imagine what another 80 ft-lbs would do to those same tires.
That is why people with LS2 GTOs have cut anywhere from a 12.9X to a low 14 second bone stock. You really gotta know how to keep traction.
A good track tire goes a long way to make LS2 GTOs pretty damn quick despite their weight and IRS.
But to answer your question I am very confident that a LS3 Camaro will cut mid to high 12s all day long. My Mustang GT is in the high 12s as it sits and I just have the basic bolt-ons.
