Really glad to have started this thread as I like reading others thoughts on the subject.

Coming from an era (early 60's) where stripped down cars were made by all the manufactures they were mostly run on the street. To many to list here but, you can search.

The common thread of these cars was they were stripped strictly for those that wanted all the power without adding weight. Back then weight to horsepower ratio's were more important. I remember the rawness of the HP being the deciding factor for most.

Plymouth and Chrysler were putting out some wild cars that were stripped down with massive engines and huge tq numbers with multiple carbs and wild intakes.

So this is part of our American muscle car history. Point is, they were all NA cars and raw HP. THIS is what I get from my car with mods and afraid that this may be the last breath of era on it's way out. That same rawness of brute power without all the other crap I could care less about.

If I want comfort I will by a Cadillac.
