Thanks for the responses guys. So, a new problem came up after having the vent valve and the gas cap replaced. I drove it for a bit and this time the gas cap light didn't come on, but the check engine light did. Mind you this was after ~20 miles. /smh
So, I went back to AutoZone and had them read the code while I wait for my ELM327 OBD-II wireless adaptor to come in. I got the same code P0455, but this time it directed me to the fuel tank pressure sensor needing to be replaced.
Current list of things done to the car...
Purge Valve Solenoid
Vent Valve
Gas cap
Evap Smoke test
Possibly it's just me, but shouldn't an evap smoke test show the issues if it was more then vent valve? I feel like I paid $75 for nothing to get a false report.
To save a little money does anyone know where the ftps is located?
