Amen, Z28Monster. I paid a lot more than $500 more for my Z and have zero regrets.
Also, to Gen6 1LE... we're talking about a car that is 2 model years in arrears. Also, Gen6 styling just doesn't cut it. I've seen the ZL1 & the ZL1 1LE in person. Neither did all that much for me. Plus, the M6 can't launch w/out bogging. The 1LE is much further down the food chain from there so am pretty confident that it wouldn't do zip for me.
EDIT: One other note, let's compare values in 5-10 years. Remember the Superbird? Officially they built 1920 of them (many believe they built more...) and couldn't give them away. They now sell $183k (per Hagerty's site) and up. I may sound defensive... maybe I am. Just tired of the "it's a $75k car selling for X". It's got an LS7. 2nd Camaro ever w/427. carbon ceramic brakes. Suspension that paved way for ZL1 1LE. It sat on lots forever. It will be legendary in 20 years. End of story.
