The full document the OP found this on was posted, and it's a North American engine production forecast cooked up by some industry analysis group. Which means it's completely subject to speculation.
However, there are some interesting tidbits in it. The OP incorrectly interpreted it first, the forecast lists predicted volume of production in 100000s, whereas he thought it meant chance of production. So if you saw a powertrain system listed at 000 (for example, the 4.2L TTV8 for the CT6 and Cadillac sports car), it's not that there's no chance for production, it's that those are just super low volume cars.
So anyways, here's what we can learn from it, and remember, none of this should be taken as 100% fact, plus it won't include engines built outside North America (IE 2.7L Duramax in Thailand). This is also a metric ****ton of data to sift through so I might miss things here or there....new stuff is bold, which is most of it.
