I added a magnetic drain plug and was getting, in my opinion, "too much" stuff on it.
a magnet around the filter may have reduced the minor bearing wear I had on the front main.
I truly believe that the cam was going away, don't know exactly why though and fell it was unrelated to the chain break...........UNLESS.........it was due to too long of pushrods or too much pretension on the lifters. those will be checked again for sure during the build.
for sure something to consider and easy to add. it is insurance and quite cheap when compared to main studs
