The argument is over is it a "production car?"
I said the NHRA views it as a production car. The words from the GM exec was "most expensive Camaro produced"
Despite what you think the COPO was a production run with options for the buyer. It was extremely limited but that was per NHRA rules.
It had its own special assembly point but i don't see how that is any different than the LS7 being hand built at its own special location.
As for the other part of my price equation - the Z07. It is a pretty expensive package that included aero improvements and carbon ceramic brakes. The Z07's MSRP was about 90k.
Then I made the guess that the price is probably 86,500 because it is more expensive than a COPO and featured some of the "extras" a Z07 had on it.
I stand by that MSRP considering it is a guess and nothing more.
