As a "victim" of this convertible top issue, I'm not convinced the cleaners are the cause. I've used both Raggtopp and 303 Aerospace cleaners on my top since new. If the cleaners were a major cause for whatever is happening to my top, I would expect my entire top be affected, not just various spots on the driver's side.
These are old pics. Most, if not all, of the spots have grown in size, and there are probably some new spots.

Soap and water. With RaggTopp, it should rinse off. That's what I do with my boat, too.
