The car C&D tested was a GT350
with the track pack. It's numbers are not up to par with a SS 1LE, and it's track time was a nice chunk of change behind a C7 Z51 (1.3 seconds if I recall), which the SS 1LE has already been shown to match or beat on track.
My gut tells me if these two cars meet up, it will be very close, with the nod going to the SS 1LE (at over $12,000 less). Remember, only the R gets the super light carbon fiber wheels and super sticky tires...
SS 1LE - GT350 (track pack)
As tested: $45,700 - $59,970
0-60: 4.1 - 4.3
1/4 mile ET: 12.4 - 12.5
1/4 mile TS: 116 - 119
Skidpad: 1.05 - 1.00
Braking: 141 - 171
