SOCAL CAMARO5 AUTOX RACE TEAM INVADES SUPER CHEVY LAS VEGAS 2011

The SOCAL Camaro5 AutoX team consisting of ddunerider, comm17, comm54, So Cal Camaro & BuffnShine set out for Las Vegas to attend the Super Chevy Show and compete in the AutoX and represent The SoCal Camaro5 Family. The Family always makes an impression wherever they go but this event was very special, our very own comm17 AKA Trish Byrd took home the trophy in the women’s class Congratulations Trish!
Ddunerider got to try out his new Hotchkis track pack that was installed by 2Edge Performance and is extremely impressed with his new suspension parts. So Cal Camaro AKA Dannie Pinard worked on his drifting skills with pride. BuffnShine could only run the track on Saturday because he needed to be at his paying job on Sunday. Comm54 mastered the course as usual and had the best time after the winner Evan from TCI (Total Cost Involved). All in all the team/family had a wonderful time and wants to thank the members of LVR SCCA for their awesome job on the AutoX course, they went out of their way to make sure everyone was safe and had a great time. Also a big thank you goes out to TCI for sponsoring this event at Super Chevy. And of course Super Chevy!
There were a lot of great cars their competing like the 32 Ford driven by Don. Don needs a big hand for driving this course in his 32 Ford with no power steering, but he did a great job and was all smiles. It is a great thing to see a beautiful car like that being driven and enjoyed like they are intended. On day 1 Evan from TCI was determined to beat the black 69 Camaro, unfortunately he didn’t but in all fairness he had a big block and could drive as well as Evan. Sal from TCI put on a great show on day 2 when he got into the car and drove the course like a champ even with a broken foot from a skiing accident. Sal usually drives with both feet and he became acclimated to driving with one foot right away. Charlss came out a day early for a business meeting to support the SoCal Camaro5 Family and cheer them on.
The SoCal Camaro5 AutoX team can’t wait for the next event so they can show off what the Family and the 5th Gen Camaro’s are made of.
