MT and NT05Rs are definitely better than the NT555Rs.
The reason so many guys (including myself) run the NT555Rs is because we run them full time or part time on the street. They are the only drag radials I feel safe driving in the rain with.
I've pulled 1.74 (bolt ons) on the NT555Rs. Padre pulled 1.6x sec 60' on them (bolt ons). So they will definitely do the job (stock or mildly modified)
I think most guys would go with the MT for highly modified setups.
But be careful - if your basically stock, the MT can cause you to bog coming off the line. They can sometimes be too sticky for a stockish Camaro.
