Before you go chasing vacuum leaks and heat soak issues, check the fuel/air/spark first.
I'd bet on a fuel pump issue first. After that an ignition issue.
Make sure the pump is always kicking on when the key is turned, hot or cold and check the pressure obviously. Go out and drive it, if you can make the car have the symptom, you're light years ahead of chasing an intermittent issue! Good luck!
