No, he's just saying you could if you wanted. I wouldn't recommend it. It's bound to just screw up your run and slow you down.
Do what I suggested. Just put it in D (regular drive) or M (regular sport mode) and turn off the traction control. Then just mash the gas. I wouldn't use M (manual mode using paddle shifters) when drag racing.
