With our springs we do suggest that you trim your bump stops, it's extremely simple and has no adverse effects to handling or ride comfort. When you lower your car you're placing your shocks in a different portion of their stroke, and by removing some material from the bump stop you reduce the likelihood of riding on the bump stops over big hits. This ultimately makes the shock more functional for the ride height your trying to achieve.
