Here's a few tips...
  1. Change oil
  2. Fill gas tank w/ premium, add fuel stabilizer
  3. Clean the car inside and out
  4. Inflate tires to max road pressure plus 1 psi per month of anticipated storage
  5. Do not use jack stands
  6. Carpet, foam, or cardboard under tires if you don't have flatstoppers.
  7. Mouse/rat traps and mothballs outside the car
  8. Dryer sheets inside the car and under hood around the wiring.
  9. Steel wool or copper choreboys in the exhaust
  10. Battery Tender
  11. Plastic visqueen moisture barrier on the floor if storage is unheated
  12. Post this list on the steering wheel so you don't forget to remove everthying before starting.
