They are right... if you don't want chips on it you should install a clear bra on it. I had my entire front bumper repainted and it looks horrible now from the chips. It's the nature of a non factory paint job. Especially on something sitting so low to the pavement. If they were to install a clear bra they would take forever to get to you, as you have to wait for the paint to cure...
