The concern with running pump gas and high boost is engine knock. As you may already know, E85 has a functional equivalent octane level to 109 fuel. This is protecting your engine from detonation.

For me, IVT (intake valve temperatures) run about 315*F on E10 (pump 91) gas whereas IVT is about 270*F on E66 (pump E85). IAT's don't change. The extra 6* of timing at WOT makes E85 wonderful (more power)!
