When you buy that "body in white" you are entering into a "contract" with GM that you will NEVER put it on the public roads. I don't know what they will do about it if you violate the contract, but it could be expensive.
Probably cheaper to just buy an LS to drop your LS9 into. You're going to have to build a custom drivetrain anyway...
