Seeing is believing... find someone that has one and have them show you what's inside. Part of your decision should be how long you plan on keeping your car. I plan on keeping mine, so $160 was worth it given what the car cost.
For what it's worth, I've had mechanics - dealership included - tell me it's a good idea.
