I'm sure it was just filthy dirty, like the rest of the car.
I just spoke to my detailer and he said the car is amazing looking after he cleaned it. The amount of dirt covered up a lot of the metallic, and he remarked about how shimmery it is. Nothing about scuff marks on the top, however
