The new Camaro V-6 running a 13.5 qtr is right there with the better muscle cars of the late 60s early 70s. Beating some. My '69 ram-air III goat was working hard to get into the mid-13s. My 67 GTO was in the 14s. Heck a v-6 Honda accord will do 14s now!
I do not remember what my buddy's 70-71? Hemi-Cuda was turning. I know top end was insane and blessed to be here on those bias ply polyglas tires. Traction and stability control back then was called the clutch and gas pedal.
To me it would depend upon sound, pull and ride. Of course $$s would be factored in. One plus for he V-6 is no wing requiring body work right away.
