Have the undercarriage sprayed...... most municipalities use other than salt.. I used to fix roads and spray and plow... there are oil sprays now not just rubber undercoating, winter tires and all season tires with about the same grip and better wear ratings....
Most places use liberally mag chloride before..salt only on overpasses etc....
