The AFM lifters are an issue as miles pile up -- talk to Rhino79 from GPI -- he deals with L99s quite a bit (he works for a GM/Chevy dealer) and really suggested the lifters be replaced -- but then again, I was doing a cam and heads too -- but he did say they are seeing problems on some stock L99's.
