Sounds like batteries do eventually need to get replaced although mine has never let me down. As a wiser fella than me said up-thread, doesn't matter much if it's just me in the car if it fails, but if it's the lady too... and if her father sees... oh, just couldn't do it!

Just replaced mine this year, Toronto 2010 SS and mine did not die on me. I started getting random dic warnings which is always a hint your battery is starting to weaken.
