I wanted to start a thread to keep track of who has needed some type of major repair now that these cars are getting some age and are out of warranty.

If you have needed some type major repair (i guess anything other then maintenance issues) please post year, engine size, mods, miles what was replaced and how much it cost you. Also post an honest assessment of your driving style and what you were doing when the part broke (if you blow your rear end but are launching from every red light please post it, if you blow your motor but are boosted or redlining every shift please post it....etc)

Im hoping to get a used ss next year, at first the wife was on board with it because she got the car she wanted this year, but she is the type who thrash talk american cars and camaros because she is a lexus fan. So hopefully enough people post here that i can show her the cars are not "rolling money pits" as she described them.
