It seems that GM truck and SUV sales are brisk. GM needs to continue the work they have been doing with them.

I feel that ultimately it will be a mistake for GM to divest from sedan sales. GM sedans IMO were somewhat lackluster in appearance as compared with their Japanese competition. The sedans were competent, but in appearance most of GM's cars were boring and/or modest in appearance features.

It also is important to note that the profit making products for GM isn't the Hybrid or compact or small car lines. It is the large, full sized truck and SUV, and cross-over lines that are generating the profit for GM.
