Give or take, they're supposed to last 8-10 years. However, I've seen a bunch go bad pre maturely around 4-5 years. This happens to me all the time, I replace the tires and all were working before I started and sure enough one wont read when I'm done! If you can afford to, I'd put new ones on from the get go.
