Sadly, I have put the prospect of a new 5th gen on a 4 year hold. Right now I am happy though. I am getting a Cobalt SS Friday.
I had been drooling for a 5th gen SS/RS, but decided that my DD would not make it for 5-1/2 more years, 6 months till availability and 5 years on my loan. I have been thinking 260hp turbocharged will give me some pretty fun times. Maybe in 4 years there will be discounts, or at least no sticker plus prices.
I have a 67 RS/SS and a 98 SS that I don't drive much, and never in winter and the 5th gen would be no different. 67 on sunny days and local shows, 98 nice days only. Plus I am out of garage space and need to build one before the 5th gen. It will be bad enough to let my little baby SS sit outside.
I will stay involved in this site, and am definately a Camaro nut. Still want a 2nd gen SS, thinking 72 350 4 speed, but I work for a living and until the 67 is paid off it will have to wait.
