I posted my comments in-line...

I'd like to put a supercharger on my car someday. So I'm doing the research for it now. I want to leave the car as stock as possible. So I'm looking for a clean, safe, easy install kit. Also, I really don't want to blow up my tranny or rear end, and I don't want to crack my car.

Are you planning on installing yourself or using a qualified shop in the area?
There are a few good Tuners in the Area.
Janetty and Slowhawk come to mind. There are others, as well.

I have a bunch of questions. Please take the time to read my question and answer the ones you know the answer to.

First does the AFM on the L99 have to be turned off? what happeneds when boost for 8 cylinders gets pushed into 4 cylinders when the AFM is on? or are those valves open and just no fuel is being pumped in? If that's the case wouldn't a supercharger dry the cylinder walls?

If the AFM needs to be turned off, do the AFM lifters need to be swaped out?

The Tuners all recommend turning AFM off with a S/C'd setup. I know Janetty had 2 vehicles that collapsed lifters with the L99. It makes sence.. you don't want boost to come in with only 4 cylanders active.

I like the superchargers that go on the top of the motor mostly for the look. From what I understand the ones that bolt on like alternators claim to get more power because they can run intercoolers or beecause the run cooler. Give me the pros and cons of both types of systems

Which is the easiest to maintian? and lasts the longest? So I don't have to mess with it?
Set it and forget it !

You should be looking at the Magnuson TVS2300 or Kenne Bell. Both are good for 100K miles with literally zero maintenance.

What is a SAFE bolt on option that won't blow up anything on my car?
You want a CAI to go with the S/C, and probably a cat back exhaust. I would not do headers and High flow cats.. those throw codes that need to be tuned out. You DO want to get a TUNE (by either Janetty or Slowhawk).

What is a SAFE level of boost for the motor, tranny, and rear end?
You want to stay around 6 lbs. boost.

Which kits require no modifications or the least modifications?
Magnuson or Kenne Bell. You still need to Tune in the ECM.
If Janetty or Slowhawk install it, you can get a warranty.

Will the stock fuel system need to be modified for my goals?
Magnuson comes with the upgraded injectors. I would bet the KB does as well. Lingenfelter adds a Boost a pump to the fuel pump, I don't think it's mandatory.

Which will i be able to get part for the easiest? and for years?
Either. Parts are available for both types I listed.

Can the tranny and the rear end handle it?
It depends on how abusive you are to it. If you drive with your foot to the floor 90% of the time, you will eventually break something. If you use the boost occasionally, it will last a LONG time.

Can I keep the traction control system ??
YES.

Which kits are you all using ?
MAgnuson TVS 2300 - the KB was released about 6 weeks ago. I would buy the KB now as it makes more power and is bigger.

What are your HP ratings?
526 HP 491 torque (with CAI, no headers, Borla Cat back exhaust, Tuned by Lingenfelter.)

What do you run at the track?
I havn't gone yet.

Is the thing noisy ? I'd like a quiet one.
Can barely hear it. Makes a little noise at WOT.

Who have you purchased from? or would you purchase from?
talk to Janetty or Slowhawk. they can set you up.

How much did your supercharger cost you start to finish??
I spent over 15K with Lingenfelter - had a bunch of extra work done. I wanted the best. Price was no object.

What should I do you reinforce the car first??? See my other thread-

You will want a good solid suspension.

Any regrets ????
None whatsoever.

Post some pics of your supercharged 2010 L99 camaros.
I don't have an L99.. I have the LS3 with the 6 speed.
