If your car is stock under the hood, typically on new cars you’d be okay to get it wet but I know many people are still weary of doing that, so you can get a degreaser to get most of the gunk off of its really dirty, brushes help to get in the smaller areas. Then you can use some trim shine (or interior detailer if you’re in a pinch) to clean all the blacks and a normal quick detailer for everything else
