Ok to start I’ve done a ton of searches. What I didn’t find was what people are running for gears who actually drag race. I’m not so much concerned about ratio but more with brand and type. I installed a US gear 3.73 about a month ago and destroyed it at the drag strip Friday. I knew it was a street gear and there would be limitation but I thought my bolt on Camaro ss with a 150 shot wouldn’t destroy the gear but I was on a track with amazing prep and something had to give this time was the gear. I also twisted the splines of the left axle slightly too.

So now that I’m looking into upgrades I can’t seem to find a competition gear for our cars. Am I stuck doing the strange conversion? Any other options?
