I was building something on my Camaro and had to contact Standard whom manufactures the female connector on the harness I was working with. They informed me I would have to come up with something because they do not make a male plug for it since the connection was designed to plug into a part on the car with the connector built in. I spent a few hours just trying to source what I needed and it was still a dead end. Haven't given up on my little project though as just like you I'm certain it can be done. It's just going to take a little extra work.

What I've done so far was unpin the 5 wire harness plug from L99 harness (no cuts) for cam sensor. Unpinned the 3 wire cam sensor harness from LS3 harness. Plug 5 wire sensor plug into LS3 harness respectively to keep VVT. That way I dint have to cut anything and kept it all clean.
