so heres the deal with making it work with the existing aftermarket axles. Width was a HUGE issue. We kept the package as tight as possible. The OEM housing doesn't have a bearing supporting at the flange end of the axle. The carrier is designed to accomodate this. The 12 bolt was never intended for this type of setup. If you tried to do this without a retained bearing the axle would only be supported by splined surface. And with the forces created by the axle shafts you would basically turn the stubs into rotary broaches and destruction would shortly ensue. So yes we EXTENSIVELY looked at trying to make this work as a bolt in for exsisting aftermarket axles. But, we are already communicating with Moser and Gforce about axle sourcing. The housing is being brought down to Moser within the next day for axle fitment. This first rear is going to be in Jim Barber's Camaro for the power tour. We would like to get at least 10 orders to help drop the production price down. So get with Skip to start pre-ordering. A second one is currently being built.
