Yes, an oil rep for Mobil1 came to the shop and informed us that the formulation used at Walmart is the ONLY different version of the formula meant for Walmart customers.
Yes its in the same package but a different version of the formula.
Also, Mobil1 is a class 3 synthetic. Its comparable to a semi synthetic at best.
DEXSOS is GMs definition of semi synthetic. I was a GM tech.
I use Amsoil signature series. Its a TRUE class 4 synthetic. It doesnt get any more better than that.
In order to label oil a synthetic, by law, all you need to do is change 1 mmolecule in it and it becomes a `synthetic`.
Oil is oil, its the additives in it that give it the name `synthetic`.
