I know knock sensors can be tested.
Whats your mileage?
You running 87? Good quality higher octane gas causes less issues for sure.
Time for plugs? Maybe something actually is causing it to ping and retard timing.
Do an upper cleaning recently? Built up carbon will do weird things.
