Ok,

We got started on the cage today... It's quite involved but the instructions are quite detailed...

We are doing a lot more than the typical install since it is the full 8 point welded in system...

We are actually installing the main hoop, the "bar," as if it were only a six point system... We are bolting it in, and then when tats complete, we will weld it all in place... We also have to fit and locate the footing and mounting plates for the Halo and the door bars... So, it's lots more work yet... I'll try to get to the shop tomorrow but I have a doctors appointment in the am as well as no vehicle to drive if I don't take Debbie to work so I can use hers...


Time will tell...

We did have fun trying to get the cage into the car.... It gives pretty clear instructions about how to accomplish this, but there is a trick... We figured this out on the third attempt...

It was one of those ahaa moments...

As an aside, I have removed completely the rear seat belts and will eventually do a rear seat delete... I want to leave it right now for cosmetic reasons and to take pictures for all of you guys and gals interested in this bar/cage system, so you can see how it looks and installs...

I think I have a line on a firewall for the back for when I do the rear seat delete... Thats a bit down the road right now...

No one will ever be allowed to ride in the back seat with the cage in there... So, to not tempt fate, I removed the seat belts... If fits my comfort level...
