It should have been imo. Historically speaking whenever the Z28 and the SS was offered side by side they was approximately equal in terms of power. The difference was in the suspension and gearing as the Z28 was built more for the track while the SS was more of a 1/4 mile car. Just like the 1LE and SS are for the 5th gen.
