Well, I would recommend having a mechanic swing by the seller's crib to do an inspection. Doesn't necessarily have to be a mobile mechanic. However, with the car not being registered, I'm not sure how that would impact their decision.


But really, what's the worst case scenario? You buy the ride and come to find out that it has a serious problem. Throw a little money into fixing it up and then flip it for a few thousand profit, especially in this current market. If you got it out on the highway and put it through its paces without seeing/hearing/feeling anything wrong, then how bad can it really be, honestly?
