You have to break it in and feel it out. Shoot, I can blow 1/4 tank through in ~45 minutes if I want.
After you have it for a while and start to drive like a citizen (for the most part) you should see 16-18 MPGs.

My 2LT only shows 17/mpg which is a bit of a shock to me as I had expected much better.
