Hate to revive an old thread but did anyone find this cause specifically?
I'm about to go with a bad hub. Mine does the exact same thing. Can't find a loose fastener to save my life. I've been over every nut and bolt in the front suspension and they're all torqued and tight.
It's not a drive train mount. I can duplicate the noise by hand turning the tire and wheel from side to side gently with the front end on jack stands.
