Less sound deadening than base C5's. You will hear a rattle, it's normal.
The transmission is in the rear, you will want a short throw shifter.
Your leg will get hot. I wrote a tutorial how to cool it down with a towel.
The 03 has the good shocks. It is a hair faster than the 02.
To get in and out of the car, look for a square bulge in the door jamb. Put your hand on it. Undocumented feature.
It came with a videotape how to set up the car for roadracing. This can be found on YouTube.
You can adjust the suspension with simple hand tools in 15 minutes. This includes lowering the car, which will improve mileage.

It Will Get 29-30 mpg highway at 70mph with the headlights down in 6th gear. No problem.

The DIC will read trouble codes.
There is a Heads Up Display that is programmable.
The mufflers are titanium and very good. DO NOT bother with aftermarket.
It pulls hard into the limiter (6600), bumping the limiter to 7000 and shifting at 6800-6900 will net high 11 second ET's with a good driver.
Not a lot of helmet clearance for tall people.
Do not drive over debris like grass clippings. The radiator intake is right at ground level, and you will block the radiator and overheat.

Even by today's standards, the C5 Z06 is a very competitive car in the twisties. What it lacks in HP, it makes up for with a 3100lb curb weight.

Put one extra quart of oil in it for RR or AutoX. This is why the next Z06 came dry sump. On "ok" tires, it will sustain over 1.01g, with good tires, over 1.1g.
