I would go with the gfx. I think it helps make the car a little. AND, it must be painted to color match the car. (Just be careful if you are going to lower the car as well. I know that the NICKEY cars are not going to be able to have the gfx, because of the drop in suspension!)
As far as the rear panel?? I say kick it "old school" and do the flat black like the old school big blocks back in the day. This car is going to be bad ass. Might as well let people know, right?!?! LOL!!!
