Well, considering this is the first thread you've posted in, I wasn't sure what other comments you were referring to
Of all people, you should understand that the "bashing" goes hand-in-hand with the customizing industry, unfortunately. Opinions are like a$$holes, everyone's got one, and most of 'em stink.
I would say, though, that the majority of the "negative" comments I've seen haven't really been "bashing," but more of a general disagreement with the choice of style. Sure, there's been the occassional rude comment, but that just goes back to my above statement about opinions.
Personally, I might have gone a different direction with the taillights that were chosen, but overall I think it's great that someone has stepped up to take care of the loyal Pontiac enthusiast.
I may not be one, but I can certainly understand the disappointment of seeing the brand go away, especially with as much heritage as it has.
